Where families are found, formed
and flourish.
To us, families are not just our relatives, but the people we choose to connect with and grow together. Here’s who we are and why we do it.
Our story
Born from a church. Built for the whole community.
Celebrate Families CIC grew out of the community work of Celebration Church Maidstone. Over the years the work outgrew its original home, so we’ve stepped out as our own non-profit.
So many different people from all walks of life have found a sense of belonging through connecting with each other in our social spaces and projects. Strangers have formed friendships, and friends have become family.
Same heart, same team, brand new chapter. We exist for everyone in our community, whatever you believe and however life looks for you right now.
Our manifesto
We believe that families can be found, can be formed, and can flourish.
Found
Formed
Creating new connections and strong bonds with strangers, that become friends, that become family.
Flourish
Strengthening and upskilling every family member, so they can thrive across all aspects of life.
Our team
Three paid staff members, a local board of directors, and the selfless, generous volunteers at the core of everything we do.

Our board of directors
Our non-profit is governed by a local board of directors who bring a huge range of skills, experience and knowledge to our work. It’s important to us that our board reflects the community that we serve, so we have first-hand knowledge of the challenges being faced, and how we can help each other together.
Our volunteers
Our volunteers are at the very core of what we do: we cannot make any impact without them. They help with everything from preparing food ingredients to hosting our community spaces, from using their creative skills to design our brand to helping with policies and governance, and from reviewing our impact to welcoming new faces into the Celebrate Families family.
